Utah DOPL

Adaptive Ops has trained hundreds of security officers across the United States. Although the training licensing options are limited to the State of Utah, the training is designed to help private security officers, also labeled as "First Defenders" in our program, become professional practitioners that understand how to keep liability on the perpetrators and not themselves or their agencies.

Adaptive Ops alumni work in diverse and unique environments, the Utah private security licensing training functions as a baseline for establishing credentials. Once private security officer credentialing is acquired they become certified as a Level I First Defender in Adaptive Ops, First Defenders become candidates for advanced training opportunities.

Utah Private Security Licensing Training:

Basic security: 8 hours classroom instruction 80% passing score required on the exam.

Armed Security: 6 hours classroom instruction, 6 hours range time 80% passing score on shooting qualification.

Advanced training opportunities include:

First Defender Level II focuses on firearm speed and precision accuracy and proving your equipment.

First Defender Level III focuses on tactics from a perimeter and room clearing, firearm manipulation including a required standard skill set for clearing malfunctions.

Protection Specialist are proficient First Defender's their level of training is an introduction to executive protection, but is specifically tailored to the type of operations they will be involved in with Adaptive Ops. Protection Specialists assist in missing persons, youth/minor extrication and counter-human trafficking operations.
